Come to the Ceilidh and enjoy Scottish Dancing, Music,and singing.

The Ceilidhs are held on Saturday nights once a month from October to May at the Heatons URC Church Hall, Heaton Moor Road, Heaton Moor, commencing 7.30pm

Gaelic classes are available, suitable for beginners and those with more knowledge of the language.

October 7th
Marie Howieson

Originally from Islay, Marie is secretary of the Clydebank Highland Society and sang at the Clann Lachlainn Society. She last sang for us in 1995.

November 4th
Andrew McCowan

Also from Islay, Andrew McCowan works at Glasgow Airport. He has a pleasant voice and a large repertoire. A raffle will be held at this ceilidh for Gala Supper funds.

December 2nd
Kenneth Thomson

Conductor of the Glasgow Gaelic Choir - and a solo singer - Gold Medallist, Stornoway 1979. Kenneth Thomson works in hospital administration. A busy man, we are delighted he has agreed to sing for us.

January 6th 2000
Donald Grant and Cliona Cassidy RNCM

We look forward to a lively evening with the return of Donald, a talented fiddler, and Cliona, a beautiful singer, who delighted us last February with tunes and songs, old and new and some just composed.

February 3rd
Margaret Callan

Margaret is a Gold Medallist, traditional song, Dunoon, 1994. She is a member of Kenna Campbell's group - Bannal.

March 3rd
Janette Macdonald

Jannette has sung for us on serveral occasions. Her mother is from Harris, which she regards as her second home. She is a Gold Medallist, Stornoway 1989.

April 7th
Archie Maclean

A member of the Stirling Gaelic Choir and a Gold Medallist at the Glasgow Mod in 1958, we are delighted that Archie Maclean has agreed to sing at this ceilidh. A raffle will be held at this ceilidh for the society funds.
